New after market vent window assembly

I starter playing around with my new vent Windows assemblies tonight. They drop in the door as they should. I need to get a plastic runner to move the weather strip out of the way a bit, but all of the holes line up as they should. I took a few pictures tonight to give y'all some hope

Re: New after market vent window assembly

One thing the OEM book shows is that the assembly seems to slide in as one unit. Has anyone had the experience one this to give some pointers?

I bought the clear, but they offer tinted. I got mine off eBay, through LMC. $229.00 plus shipping you outside you mean in daylight? I have an outside door picture posted.

Re: New after market vent window assembly

Ok I found the first very minor glitch. One assembly came pre-drilled on the brackets and one did not. I can drill easy, but just wonder why they skipped that? Both window assemblies match up. The proper screw size for the lower brace is shown. I picked up all the stainless steel screws at lowes.. One window glode is shorter than the other as well. Of this is a problem, I'll contact LMC who sold them via eBay.

Re: New after market vent window assembly

I'm going to contact LMC to let them know that the second one that I ordered does not line up correctly. I'll ask for a simple exchange. I'll let everyone know how that came out. I can't see them lettbg these parts hit the market, they probably don't know there may be a problem with the factory assembly. I took a picture of the first, the second and an OEM. You can see the difference. The extra length in the window groove mut be needed as the OEM had it as well as the first one I ordered.

Re: New after market vent window assembly

I believe it is played, but will check. LMC has been a good company i'd be surprised if they fight me on this. The hole ain't the worry , the second assembly is also off in regards to hight on the glass section

Re: New after market vent window assembly

I just did a r & r on my vent windows. I didn't remove the door glass, I just rolled it all the way down. I put the door glass in first and then it's just the four sheet metal screws on the edge and the two 1/4-20 screws down at the bottom to get the vents windows installed. Seems like putting glass and vents in at the same time would complicate things.

I agree. BTW, I check my invoices for the windows and they came from the Truck and Car shop, NOT LMC.
