Trying to determine value... - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I've been asked several times recently what my truck is worth (insurance company, friends, people looking to buy it, etc)... The problem is, is that its still rather unfinished. I'm looking for some opinions on what my project could be valued at. I'm gonna list what I've got and would appreciate any feedback. If I don't list some part, just assume I don't have it...

Just to make it clear, this truck is NOT for sale! If I ever do list it, I'll make sure I post it in the proper area... Just looking for some feedback here...

Truck is cab on frame rolling chassis and all the stuff listed is installed...

Frame - sandblasted & powdercoated
Tube A-Arms
4wheel disc brake conversion kit
Rebuilt 12bolt posi rearend (4.56 gears)
Airbag suspension (all 4 wheels) (with compressor, controls, airtank)
New radiator support + bushings
New cab mounts
4core Aluminum radiator
ZF 6S-650 6spd heavy duty manual transmission (new 0 miles)
Rebuilt 454 motor bored .30 over (headers, medium cam, roller rockers, edelbrock intake, holley TBI injection, march pulleys (only break-in miles)
Custom driveshaft
New 18gal Fuel Cell (relocated behind rear axle) w/ electric fuel pump.
'67 chevy cab (small rear window, fair shape, have all patch panels: rockers, cab floor, fender bottoms)
'67 chevy hood, fenders, grill, doors (all in fair shape)

I guess I'll just stop here...

not sure what it's worth, but it sounds like a lot of really nice parts!

I have no idea of a value with all that you listed but would love to see some pics of it .

hah! you guys are killing me! :-) It is indeed a lot of nice parts... That's the problem is that I can list up my receipts to get a total of what I've paid, but I think we all know that its not going to be valued at that amount. :-(

I'll see if I can dig up some pictures...

It sounds like you are well on your way to a nice mod...keep going.
The reason I say that is that when a truck is apart it is worth cents on the dollar compared to a truck that can be driven away.
This means it is not worth the sum of the unassembled parts unfortunately....so you end up in financial 'no-mans' land for a while when getting the truck parts put back into truck form.
So keep going, get the truck together, running and on the road and your investment will be more likely to be realized.
Post up some pics!!....always a good thing...lol.

sounds interesting, I have no clue about the value though. I do no it would be a major loss for you.
