8k tach conversion dash with options

Offering to convert your factory 7 hole dash to an 8k tach with some options:

With all your parts (outer bezel, all gauges (except tach), new wiring harness for tach and new printed circuit, 8k tach, lens, and inner and outer tins and new light bulbs) 375 shipped plus you ship your dash to me

Options:
New temp gauge Add $35
Used original gauges from my personal collection in lieu of your gauges add $50
New Chrome and black reproduction bezel Add $35
New Cheyenne super woodgrain dash bezel with matching glovebox door panel add $200

Pictured is a dash I completed a while back for an example. I've restored around 100 dashes in total.

Can you get an 8k tach lens with a vacuum gauge?

Haven't seen that yet. Will do some research. I have 5k tach with vac lenses.

I do too. Was thinking of doing the 8k conversion but don't want to loose my vacuum gauge and don't want to cut up the lens.

I think they are available. Just looking for a source and pricing. I have the vac gauge and tins.

Re: 8k tach conversion dash with options

If it helps, I have had this request from many of my customers and to date, I have not been able to find a 8K tach lens with vacuum.

I have considered making a custom one by using 2 lenses and incorporating the vacuum portion into the 8K lens.

Thank you,
Tom

Do you have a picture of one with woodgrain that you have done? Just wondering if you have had problems with the woodgrain peeling

I will get some pictures soon
The cheaper woodgrain overlays you apply yourself have issues. The ones pre-done seem to last okay unless they are in a high heat area in the sun. But those typically don't fit like factory.

I assume you use the nicest woodgrain option, I tried the stickon option with my glovebox and it's already shrinking, how is your glovebox done?

I give the option for the less expensive woodgrain or the nicer one shown. The glovebox door uses an exact reproduction of the Cheyenne super metal plate with woodgrain that matches the nicer one. I can get the metal plate separately and an overlay for 145. I also have glovebox door emblems if wanted.

It depends on what type of setup you want and if you want to use your gauges or if you want me to supply.

I do have someone interested in my entire parts collection and this would be included so I will let you know by Friday if this is still available or not...

Re: 8k tach conversion dash with options

So my particular cluster is a little worn and all the "metal" is a little tarnished. The gauges look faded and the glass a little cloudy. Are you replacing these bits and pieces or are they being repainted, taken apart and cleaned? I understand that if you have to replace an entire gauge you will charge extra but if I keep the originals is that included in the 375?

Sorry for so many questions I just want to make sure whats included with the price that way theirs no confusion later.
