Urethane Carrier Bearing?
Are there any LWB folks out there using the Urethane Carrier Bearing for their two piece driveshaft? If so, is it worth the price difference? The ones I've seen are $75 - $115, and a regular rubber mount one is $25-30. Do they last any longer? Are they balanced any better? Or, are they just a gimmick? Any input is welcomed

the most expensive part is the bearing, for that price, if the bearing is chicom. No
and no pink, yellow blue or red poly insulators please |

I have never used one but I don't like the idea. The rubber in the carrier has to give in & out to allow the drive shaft yoke to slide in & out of the trans. as the rear end goes up m& down.

They are used quite a bit in 58-64 chevy full size cars with no problems. However they are not typically installing just a bearing. It is usually a drive shaft and bearing that are designed to work together, the drive shaft usually has a slip joint between the hanger bearing and rear axle.
