How do I hook up this old Kraco AM/FM 8 Track?

I bought this truck and the old radio didn't work. Its an old Kraco AM FM 8 Track Player. Pretty cool and period correct for the truck (1975) So I look under the dash and its never been hooked up. Can someone tell me exactly which wire under the dash to hook to which radio wire?

Heres what I found hanging under the dash:


There was also this coming from the single dash speaker:


And finally, this does not appear to be factory because this red wire with a half of a fuse container is stuck into a fuse in the fusebox all home-made lookin' (orange arrow) Also in this picture you can see the wiring coming out of the back of the Kraco radio.


Here are the Kraco Radio wires spread out so you can see them. Not sure why but there are 2 black wires. One goes into the white connector at the end and the other just hangs free by it self.

Here are the Kraco Radio wires spread out so you can see them. Not sure why but there are 2 black wires. One goes into the white connector at the end and the other just hangs free by it self.

#1 is the stock GM power connector for AM radio.
Black is Circuit 150 Ground)
Yellow is Circuit 43 Ignition switched radio power
Gray is Circuit 8 Instrument panel lamp power from headlamp switch

#2 is Stock AM speaker Green is + Black is -

#3 & 4 are the Krako wires I'll take a WAG on these.
Red with the inline AGC fuse is power. Hook this to a BAT or IGN position in the fuse panel
The separate Black is probably the system Ground. The other black wire is a big ???

The other five or six wires are the speakers. FL+ FR+ RL+ RR+ and one or two speaker returns. The bundled black could be a speaker return or a system ground the Brown or Green may be the other speaker return. Ham radio guys may have a method for determining which one is which. You might luck out and find the wiring colors on the top of the radio chassis like my old Realistic car stereos. I used to write right on top with a fine point magic marker.

METRA makes wiring pigtails that plug into the PakCon GM radio connectors so you don't have to cut them off or make a mess of them.

I would say the
yellow is 12+ constant-hook up to truck yellow
red is switched 12v+ -hook up to acc on fuse holder on truck
black closest to red and yellow is ground
other colored wires are speaker wires front and back
the second ground is probably a shared ground for speaker wires

I hooked everything up as you guys said and the radio lit up and powered on. There was nothing coming from the speaker though. I tried tying all 4 speaker + wires together and putting them all to the + side of the speaker. Then I tried each one individually, nothing. Of course the black wire went to the (-) side of the speaker. I went to my parts pile and I got a 8 and 10 ohm speaker to test with. Suddenly when I hook this up I get a LITTLE TINY BIT of sound. I mean its so quiet you have to put your ear right up to it, even though the radio volume is all the way up. As a last resort, I switched the black 2 black wires, thinking I had them switched, one to the speaker and one to the original harness. Didn't affect it at all. Any clues or do I just have a bad radio?
