1972 K20 Cheyenne Super on eBay

I am pretty sure I've seen some are you talking about how much you like medium Olive/dark olive combos. This looks like a super nice K20 on eBay.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/162084057628

Enjoy!

That's a nice one Mike. Thanks for sharing, it's the opposite 2 tone colors of my K20.

Just kidding it's not a real custom camper!

Wondering about the dk olive gb door... SPID looks legit, all VINs match, yet, as a 72, it's got the correct clear covering on the SPID and it was clearly laid over a dark olive gb door. Prety sure main body/interior color or black were the only options for gb door color (on chevs). Anyway, gorgeous truck. Wondering why, if original paint, the Custom Camper emblems were added to such an original, already rare/valuable K20. Who cares, it's gorgeous.

But you're right - to be the holy grail it would need cab lights!

that's just the current bid. I don't expect it to stay at 8200, or anywhere near it.

Re: 1972 K20 Cheyenne Super on eBay

Looks to possibly have longhorn bed on it (but I don't see the seam, so maybe not). I see some possible bubbles behind the front wheel wells and the dark green glove box door is odd. I don't think it's as original as the seller claims, but it is a real beauty!

Nice truck- looks like the rockers & door bottoms have been painted? Wish they wouldn't present it as "original paint"

Re: 1972 K20 Cheyenne Super on eBay

Not picking it apart, just some observations:
1. new stainless trim? Why if so low miles & original paint? (& he should have replaced the tail light trim too!)
2. new seat cover (no big deal here)
3. new carpet & dash pad (again, no big deal)
4. rockers & lower inside of doors have been repainted (pass. door latch about to fall out) Rockers replaced? probably
5. wheel tubs in bed appear new
6. radiator appears bent? (how does that happen with a straight core support?) wrecked?
7. engine compartment has been spray bombed
8. front axle has bracket for steering stab. but not the tie rod? newer axle or someone welded the bracket on (that's what I did) Did 72 have them? I know 71 did not but 73 did.
9. garage full of other 67-72 trucks
10. his other listings are all vehicles (he's flipping them)
11. some of the other listing say the same thing: "1 owner". Sooo.... has he owned these vehicles since new or is he the second owner, making the buyer the 3rd owner? (just noticed he's listed as a dealer) He strikes me as the classic "little ol' lady only drove it on Sunday" type
I'm sure other guys here have seen lots that I've missed

OK, I guess I am picking it apart, but it is a beautiful truck & I'd love to own it, I just think he's "building it up" a bit & he's in a gray area in his listing as far as honesty goes. (love run-on sentences!)

Yup, noticed the spray paint in the engine compartment and all under the truck. It looks as if he is a collector car salesman....not a bad thing, but the one owner and originality of the truck doesn't add up. Having said that, I'd buy it in a minute! Sweet looking rig!

Re: 1972 K20 Cheyenne Super on eBay

While it's always possible that the high bidders on a no reserve auction flake out, but I get very suspicious when the truck gets relisted a week later after it's supposedly been sold. Yes, a gorgeous truck no doubt - I'd be much more interested if seller had just left it alone, not made it into a custom camper when it's not, and hadn't mucked up those headlight buckets! My goodness. Ha. Well, that can all be fixed, it's still a 556 K20 Cheyenne Super, and it's gorgeous.
