Wiper switch to motor wiring - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Ok gents, I'm seriously about to just lose it. Have a 78 c15 that I have been restoring for a few years now. I ripped out all wiring which was severely chopped up and re-wired with painless harness. I see the light at the end of the tunnel but can't seem to get the windshield wiper motor and pump to work with the switch. I have searched this forum and the Internet for days now but can't seem to find a diagram that shows what wires on the wiper motor and pump goes to the switch. Truck has the non intermittent setup, worked fine before and motor works fine but I just can't get it to work with the switch. The wires that come from the switch harness are not all the same colors as the wires that come from the motor and pump harnesses. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This is a post I made on how the stock wiring is setup. The OP in this thread was asking about swapping 85-91 columns into the 78-84 cabs. It's fairly detailed so it may help you.

Lol, this truck really was a mess. It appears the piece of harness that connects to the switch is from a 78, and the harnesses that connect to the motor/pump are from a 79-83 truck. Thanks for your help, this really clears things up for me. Now I just have to find some time to mess with it.

Indeed 73-77 are different both in function and color codes. I had to sort through a lot of differences before designing a pulse/delay integration wiper switch harness to allow a 78-83 style pulse switch to be used on 73-77 trucks. It require the swap to a 78-up motor and the corresponding linkage arm. The switch opening on the dash needs slightly enlarged too then it's plug n play-this refers to pulse/delay installs on 77-older trucks tho, dis-regarding the 1977 only style delay switch delay setup.
