Seat springs- 1965 C10
Hi
My bench seat has a saggy bottom. The drivers side has three broken springs at the end near the door- Yes!- I am taking as feedback to shed some pounds but I think they were broken when I got it and parts are missing so welding wont suffice. Re: Seat springs- 1965 C10
To help in your search is yours a standard seat with a vinyl top or a deluxe seat with a thick foam base with a fabric top.
Pictures are from 63 but the seat styles are the spring styles are the same as 65.

Re: Seat springs- 1965 C10
Thank you. I will order two of the spring numbered 1- I wasn't sure if it was the spring at the end of the seat or not based on the image but you have confirmed it- thanks.
I need the one they show in blue as well but they don't actually sell that one, its for reference only. If anyone knows where to locate that one it would be great. Many thanks for your advice.

Re: Seat springs- 1965 C10
Does this LMC # 1 spring work on the common broken outside edge spring? Factory had a left hand and a right hand spring but I see LMC says fits R or L.
Anyone know if this is the replacement side spring for the outside edge by door? Mark

Re: Seat springs- 1965 C10
I have two different seats in my shop. A 'custom" seat frame and a standard seat frame.
The LMC springs matched the custom side seat springs much closer. Looking from the bottom of the Standard 1seat frame the first pic here is the standard side seat springs (old ones), the second pic is the custom seat with the LMC springs installed looking from the top of the seat. Thats just the way they were sitting in the shop, so. . .

Re: Seat springs- 1965 C10
That spring looks to be exactly what is needed for the Custom Cab foam seat. My restored seat had the original spring tack welded and it broke in the first couple of times in the truck. Ill be ordering a couple of the LMC springs. Thanks for the photos. Mark

Re: Seat springs- 1965 C10
For those bands that hold the seat springs together: When I rebuilt the rear seat in my Suburban and the front bench for my '57 Chevy, I recreated those bands with pieces of a soup can. Sounds hokey, but it's thick metal, cuts well with a tin snips, and you don't have to find a shop to buy a big piece when you only need a couple inches.

Re: Seat springs- 1965 C10
Hi
Apologies for delay, been away on holiday. I don't know if they are correct yet. The order arrived from LMC and I will check if they are the same later this week. When I looked underneath I thought that the springs looked the same each side- they just fitted the otherway around.
