I just used the stock generator bracket. I made two 1/2" spacers to space it off the manifold. We made another long bushing to mount the alternator where the generator was before. Worked like a charm.

Rams horn exhaust manifold with generator bracket with mod to fit alternator and adjustment arm off of intake manifold boss.

Mine is similar to Orrie's. I have headers but I made a bracket which is attached to the head with the header bolts to hold the bottom of the alternator. Upper mount is a modified generator bracket.

I have had real good luck with Bill's Brackets for my trucks with early and late style heads
