Tailgate latch/handle mechanism diagram

Anyone have any good pictures/diagrams of the handle/latch mechanism for a tailgate? I'm getting a new tailgate at some point and will need to install the rest. Not sure I completely understand how it all works and ties together. Thanks.

Re: Tailgate latch/handle mechanism diagram

Ok, so dumb question. What is the correct order to remove or install? Seems like either part I start first (from the latch or from the handle), I would reach a point I cannot get to the rod to install it onto the opposite (latch/handle). Seems like for installation, the rods go on the end latches, then get routed to the handle, but how can you get the rods correctly into the handle (tight quarters, right?)? Thanks.
