Ebay grill question

Has anyone used one of these grills? The install instructions are terrible and the bolts are to big. I do like the fact that it came with a hood latch relocation rod. It comes with adaptor plates that look like they go into my core support.

Re: Ebay grill question

I'm not going to lie but my grill on mine is from Amazon and at first I was very happy but over past 3 months I've hated it more and more. The slots are very thin going horizontal so at most angles and when sun hits it directly you don't even realize the grill is there. I'm going to wind up ordering it from LMC and I'll have my body shop paint it black. The slots on there grill is very thick & looks cleaner to me

Re: Ebay grill question

You can darken up the background behind the grill and that will make the grill stand out more!

Re: Ebay grill question

I painted my core support semi gloss black along with everything else behind the grille. A very light coat of high temp paint on my trans cooler. I'm going to add a piece of light screen with bigger then normal holes in front of my aluminum radiator. Which is really bright silver, hoping not to effect cooling.
I also change style of turn signals and added smoked lens, so there gone during the daytime. Just need to get creative. I used a stainless steel grille over chrome. I like the stock grilles, just need to get my hands on a good one for a 86. And the prices for a NOS is out of my budget at this point it time. The repops are just plan bad. I tried working with two from different vendors, a waste of $40.00.

Re: Ebay grill question

Here is the latest pic of the front of my truck. I'm going with this for a while, I have smoked lens on the turn/marker lights. Which are Harley Davidson units, the stockers looked just plan ugly. I also used stainless steel spray paint on the headlamp doors.
