found this out in johnson valley california out in the desert when we were out offroading with the fam...got it for 700$...sold 200$ of junk off it and traded the bed for a shortbed fleetside....added a fresh 350 and 700r4 and 4 wheel power disc brakes, its getting there...needs alot of love, but no rust!....cool site guys...love it!......worst part is there was a rat living under the seat and he ate all the wiring so Im looking for all the wiring harness if any of you guys got some that are driver quality??? thanks,cameron...

Welcome! Your better off getting a stock or classic update series from American Autowire, there are vendors in the vendor's parts section that will make you a deal.

Re: new member with a 64 shortbed find

thanks, its a beat up old desert truck but will be my daily driver when Im done...somebody had added a later 5 on 5 12 bolt rear, so I did the drop spindles and lowered springs with the 5 on 5 for the fronts...found a door and hood and fleetside bed from a guy in oxnard for 450$ and he took my stepside bed in trade....it had a 1960 hood on it,sold that for $50 and sold the trans out of it for $50 so Im making progress...going for gas economy on this ride...so its kinda boring but old school...got a new 1950 chevy rear gas tank for the conversion too...

Welcome to the forum

I agree on new aftermarket wiring, even if it's just original style replacement harnesses.

As a Northerner, seeing a lift outside just kills me. lol Sorry, not being insulting, but just something we would never do up here.
