69-70 blinker housing clean up

I'd like to refurbish the blinker housings - they have a little rust. Was thinking I'd just hit them in my little sandblasting cabinet.

Are the light socket and wires removable? If so, how? I feel kinda stupid, but I can't figure it out.

If they are not really rusty turn the pressure down on the blaster and blast them. They are galvanized so you don't want to blast them heavily or you will have to treat them with clear coat or paint so they don't rust. I lightly blasted mi exsnd cleared them with Rustoleum matte clear. I don't know how the sockets come out as I left mine in.
