4L60 Cooler Lines
In process of completing an LS swap in my '65 C10. I need to make the trans cooler lines. I have the original fittings with new o rings and clips installed but the steel lines have been cut. So I have the factory connection on the trans with 2 steel lines that have been shortened.
Can you use barb fittings and rubber hose to complete the connection to radiator? Or does it require AN type connection? |

i dont think theres too much fluid pressure in the lines. im using the stock lines with an aftermarket cooler and will be using short rubber lines to complete the connection

Just wondering if the pressure requires AN type connection. I might try an after market cooler as well. Thanks for the info.

I have the stock fittings on the 4l80e transmission but have regular rubber tubing going to the radiator and aux cooler. 3 years now! No problems.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

I used compression fittings to "tap into" to the stock lines. After that barb fittings and rubber hose. These are parts Derale uses in their trans cooler kits.
