1939 coupe frame for a 38 truck?
My father in law has a '38 truck (picture) but the frame is bent and he's been looking for a replacement. I saw a 1939 coupe frame on craigslist (http://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/pts/5624543143.html) and wonder if that would work for him? Thanks for the help

Re: 1939 coupe frame for a 38 truck?
The truck and car frames for chevy trucks are different. The 39 chevy coupe frame is a top hat style were the truck frame is a regular c channel style. You can make anything fit I guess but I think I would keep looking for a truck frame to go under the truck.

thanks for the input. I did notice the different shape of the frame rails but as i'm not familiar with this era of vehicle i wasn't sure if that was just how they did it back then.

Re: 1939 coupe frame for a 38 truck?
fix the original frame because the chances of getting a frame that old from a truck that isn't bent is slim, but cool truck!
