1966 C10 radiator choices

Looking for some input. Installing big block Chevy 396. Suggestions on radiator, fan shroud, fan blade, radiator hoses etc.

I will most likely be adding AC as well

i run a Champion .... but with a BBC . would not recommend a cheap China Radiator . i say get a good US made Radiator like a BECool radiator http://becool.com/radiators i had a Becool in my 55 belair that had a BBC 502 in it and it never got hot even in stop and go traffic .... it ran at 180 the whole time . our trucks dont have the best air flow into the radiator so if your not trying to squeeze every drop of Horse Power out of the engine i would go with a factory fan shroud set up and a clutch fan set up .. also invest in a HV Water pump for the BBC ... 396 is a great motor lots of TQ . and very easy to make good HP numbers out of too ... they can spin some nasty RPMs if you ARP the bottom end.. also BBC's like to breathe so also go with a Single plane intake manifold .. unless your gonna be EFI ... i know this is more than you asked for but just trying to help with info .... wow ok i just did some research on these radiators and to my surprise at that price they are made here in the US and not China .... many good reviews given online from people who have gotten one ... so i know where my next rad is coming from for sure it never hurts to save money and with other US made companies charging upwards of 600+ ide say call these people for sure and have a chat

I purchased a U.S. Radiator from Ricks Radiator in Azuza California, who I recommend using if you purchase a U.S. Radiator.

I have a mildly built 283 with a/c and a 4 speed manual tranny. One day last year when we had a 107 degree day here in the valley, I ran my truck up to the summit of the high Sierra Nevada range on I-80. I had a 276 rear gear back then (too tall, but I was making use of what I had available at the time) and I climbed the highway pushing my motor full throttle with the a/c on for long stretches at a time in an effort to run with modern cars at 65 mph. I had to do a lot of down shifting to keep my rpms up and tried to make the truck run hot....it never did. I even pulled off at the summit and let it idle while I looked at a map keeping the a/c running and I momentarily saw 190 degrees. But that was as hot as it got. Edit: I run a stock shroud and a 6 blade 18" motor driven fan with a heavy duty Hayden thermostatic clutch.

yeah like i said i did not no that they were US made at that price i figured China made .... but was pleasantly surprised to see them from here and not gouging the buyer in price ... i know my next one will be from them for sure

This '71 has a 468 with an OEM big block aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. The '65 is running a 396 with a Griffin and dual Spal fan set up. Both cool very well.

Wow! I like that 65.. Im using a Champion radiator with Fbody electric fans cooling my LS2. Seems to work well thus far.

Don't forget to use the correct sending unit for the gauges being used.

I'm using the aluminum 4 core radiator by champion and an aluminum shroud with a electric fan. Also when you get ready to put air conditioning in I manufacturer Factory looking AC vents so you can use your Vintage Air 4 system with it
