Painting 235 without high heat paint......ok?
So I want to repainted my 235. My color is not available in high heat. It is safe to 200 degrees. Only doing block. Not valve cover or side cover.
Will I be ok? Also going to clear coat with high heat type. Ran my truck over a year and ran pretty much at 180 or so. A few hot summer days, went higher...thanks all....

spray high heat first then spray in the color you want the high heat under it will help keep it from peeling kinda like a insulation layer

should be fine since the only real heat that exceeds 200 degrees is the exhaust manifold.

69chevytrucker, that was my thought. Once temp is reached though, I was concerned it might peel or brown. I was gonna then coat with high heat clear.
55dude, that was also my thinking, doesn't really get that hot. 62 Barnfind, painting it the color of my wheels in the fist picture of my link.
