Fender Badge Removal/Install GMC JIMMY

So, i am thinking of buying a new set of emblems. How easy/Hard is it to replace the fender emblems? Do i need to take the fender off or can i get to the nuts by just removing the wheel well? I have read a couple different posts saying it cant be done without taking the fender off, is this true?

I've read that too. I tried accessing mine, but couldn't reach one of the fasteners.

I cant remember on mine, but I'm next to positive you can easily reach the nuts if you drop the fender well.

They are pretty easy to get to if you remove the inner fender.

I thought that it kinda sucked going through the inner fender. The trick was to get the speed nut on the stud. I lined a box end wrench with masking tape So the nut would stick to it.

Re: Fender Badge Removal/Install GMC JIMMY

Most people when they replace them don't use the regular nuts. They use the barrel nuts the hollow insert that expands when the stud goes in it
