Thoughts on cleaning the fuse block
I am trying to clean up the original fuse block. The wiring is in good shape but the fuse holder a a little rusted. Any thoughts or suggestions on cleaning the fuse holders.
Thanks for the help

Maybe some emery cloth? Or fine sandpaper.

Re: Thoughts on cleaning the fuse block
Q-tips and valve grinding compound. The q-tip stems are kinda weak and fold up with a little bit of pressure but it gets in the curves and works. I then used a 99 cent store spray bottle with some rubbing alcohol and an old tooth brush to spray and brush the grime away. Disconnect your battery first to be safe.

Re: Thoughts on cleaning the fuse block
I've wondered about using the wire brushes from a 22 cal. gun cleaning kit?

Re: Thoughts on cleaning the fuse block
Thanks for the thoughts and ideas.
I do have the block out do to the fact that I am doing a frame off. I am currently in the process of putting back together, frame and running gear all back together. So I am trying to do the little things like the fuse block now. Thanks again for the info, this place is great.

Re: Thoughts on cleaning the fuse block
You might try those little sanding boards the women use on their nails. Might have to trim them down a little to a usable size.

Re: Thoughts on cleaning the fuse block
If you are going that far as a frame off (nice by the way) I would just rewire the whole tk. American auto wire has new stock wiring kits (you probably know this) I used the non stock one for 60-66 tks, just more fuses but uses stock plug ins. (you have to make the wire ends though) I tried to use a driemel with a wire wheel, but mine was to rusty. didn't help much.
