Whatever happened to the LED cargo/3rd brake light ?

Is that person still on the board or are they available anywhere?

Unless there is someone else, Rhuemster was the one working on these, and No One has heard from him in a long time..

Yeah, as soon as those LEDs hit the market, he disappeared..... must have taken the money and ran! I have some front parking light/turn signal inserts that he made/sold to me that don't work correctly. I guess his 100% satisfaction guarantee didn't mean much.

Actually, you might be thinking of the one that I came up with. Seemed 6 months after I showed mine on here, the aftermarket started doing it too.
I never made them for sale, just as a how to deal. (bummer I can't remember the p/n for the lights huh?

Actually ECE http://www.earlyclassic.com/ sells them or just give them a call. They also sell the rear ones as well.

John,

After meeting you, I would expect no less from you,

I have tried to contact Ryan, I e-mailed him through his e-mail, I Pmed him through this board, And I tried the e-mail portion of this board, Right after I got back on line with this new computer, with No Success. or reply. He had just moved back to POLSON Montana, We typed about it, because we were both raised there, ( in my case many years ago)

Thanks for sticking up for him, I liked him, and thought he brought some good things to this board. No I never did any dealings with him.

I hope everything's OK with him....

Ron

onelow69: The ones that ECE sells are the ones that Reumster and his partner designed. Like I was saying, it seemed like about the same time he turned them over to ECE to sell, he stopped posting here.

Junkyardjohn: I've tried repeatedly to get a hold of Ryan via e-mail with no success. I doubt he is so busy with his "RESEARCH & DEVELOPEMENT" that he can't reply to an e-mail. While he was actively posting on the board, I spoke with him on the phone a few times. Yes, he is a very nice guy, but where is he???? I even e-mailed his partner asking if he had heard from him and got no reply. I'm not flaming anyone. I just find it strange that he was so excited about producing and promoting his LEDs, then he disappears. He custom made some front inserts for my GMC and they didn't function properly. He told me he would either fix mine or send me a new set. That was about a year ago.

So I think that justifies me being a little unhappy with his "100% satisfaction guarantee". Wouldn't you agree?

Anyone that has problems with the flteetside 168LED panels that were bought before ECE got the exclusive on them. Should be able to contact http://www.d2mtechnologies.com they are the ones that started producing them for Ryan and Joel. I don't know if they are making the LEDS for ECE.

LEDS bought from ECE, you would probably have to contact them if you have any problems.

Custom made LED panels, I guess you have to keep trying to get in touch with Ryan.

Hope this helps anyone that has problems with them. Paul had a couple rows of bulbs go out, on a set of the 168LED panels. They were repaired by D2M Technologies with no problems.. But that is also where we got them. Randy Aldridge pres. of D2M is a good guy and will take care of any problems with the panels his company made.

Rhuemster is exactly who I was thinking of. I was just fishing for anyone that may be in contact with him. I did not want to come right out with the name. I have been unable to reach him and had heard of some problems. Life can be pretty busy sometimes.
Thank you to all that replied and I will try ECE.
I wanted the Cargo/3rd brake kit.
No Longhorn, it wasn't yours.

Andy, I remember when you came up with the idea for the cargo light!. Slick as hell in my opinion but my truck don't have a cargo light.

3rd brake light

This is an Idea that we are putting together right now, we are still working out the liscensing from GM so we can't sell them at this time. They are made out of billet aluminum and have all the contours of the original lens so they fit right and don't leak, and they wouldn't be polished like this one.

What do you guys think?

I don't have a cargo lamp but will be adding one.
Shawn, if you can't sell one, can I buy something else and get a free one? Had to try.

I think that billet bowtie for the cargo light is sweet! I will be buying one for my 72' Cheyanne Super.

That ccled.com web site hasn't been updated in a while from what I can tell. I sent both Joel and Ryan and e-mail with a link to this thread........ we'll see if either of them reply.

Jason

From the web site.......

Quote:
We want our customers to know that we care about them, and we will support our products. If you buy something from us, we want you to be not just satisfied, but happy. If you have bought a product from us, and you have a problem with it, we will make it right, period. If you don’t like the way they look, or they don’t light up enough for you, or are too bright, let us know, and we’ll fix it, or give you a refund, in exchange for our non-damaged product back. That’s it, if you aren’t happy, we aren’t happy.

Questions anwered

Howdy,
I have been reading through this thread and have to appologize to a large extent. I haven't posted here in awhile since I only spend enough time online now to check my email each day.
With regards to Ryan and I:
Ryan recently moved from PA, to Montana. I often can't get ahold of him as much as I'd like to. I share is some of y'alls frustration. His access to the internet is limited, and sometimes goes days without using it(Sounds like a drug doesn't it?). He and I are still working very hard to get our taillights out in the market more efficiently. We signed an agreement with Early Classic Enterprises to handle of our products for this model/year of chevy trucks. What 71Chev said is correct.
We have finished the first issue of third brake light/cargo light. there were 10 in the first go around, and ECE has them for sale, obviously. However the first 10 have already been sold. He is going to be ordering more from us soon, so if you'd like in on the next issue, you need to contact them ASAP.
If you have a board from US and there are problems you need to let me know so i can fix it. I will fix ASAP, because I do want everyone to be happy. We haven't made a dime yet. Literally we're still in debt. We haven't sold enough to pay off the development costs of all our products, or our overhead. We haven't taken the "money and run." We are going to focus next on front turn signals, and will have the 67-68 done in time for X-mas. I am going to try to have the 69-70, as well as the 71-72 done, but I doubt it. We are also going to work on a dome light. A dome light you could leave on for a week and not drain your battery, though we don't encourage you to try.
Again, I am sorry, as well as ryan that we haven't been more proactive. This is still like our hobby. Neither of us is full time yet on this. We have to work the 9 to 5er like the rest of you. But we're trying to get more revenue to get more products to get on this full time.

Again, if you have any problems with your set email ME ASAP @
joel.mcwaters@ccled.com. I will take care of what ever issue I can.
Thank you.
