Raised floor longer bed bolts.

Hello all,

I raised my bed floor and now I'm having problems finding bolts that will fit. Everywhere I look in my local stores I can only find 12". I need 13 to 14 inch. Can I extend my origanal bolts? If so how would I do it?

Get some threaded rod from the parts store and tack weld a nut on one end.

Instant bolts in any length you need.

That's an idea, I was hoping to use the carriage bolt style so I didn't have a nut showing in the bed. If I can't find a carriage bolt that is 13" than I will defiantly go your route. Thanks for the input.

With a bench grinder you could shape the nut to look any way you like.

Scroll down on the left in the length box, they have them 12", 14" or 16" long.
