Option on Spid question

I am looking at this 1971 GMC, Canadian built for the Canadian market, and it shows it has the cargo light (UF2 ) from the factory like my Janesville built 1972 Highlander. The GMC also shows the option " C80 Dome Lamp Switch " and I don't remember seeing that before. Is it to turn the interior light on or ?

Do you mean beside the interior dome light or underneath the interior dome light? Doesn't the interior dome light come on when you turn the headlight switch to the left. The one in my 72 is under the interior dome light and it turns the cargo light on.

Oh, my bad. That was the switch I was thinking about. Not too sure about the dome lamp switch option now.

Re: Option on Spid question

dome lamp switches are on the pillar in front of the door, spring loaded so when you open the door the dome lamp comes on

Thank you. That makes sense. This truck has the Z62 package, which is like a Custom/Deluxe package with a Chevy. On the 1972 Chevy the dome light switches are included with the Z62 Custom/Deluxe package. I guess they were a stand alone option on a 1971 GMC even with the Z62 package.

Re: Option on Spid question

The Super Custom is the same as Custom Deluxe. Sometimes an RPO included with optional trim levels are show redundantly. <<< HEY!! Spelled it right the first time! (Is that a proper use of the word? )
