My 71 short bed
basic 350/350 combo 3.08 gears changed from 3.73. i like highway cruising vs burning out. Tires are expensive.

thanks, further plans are a real paint job and also on my wish list is a 383 crate motor with maybe a 700r4 trans

yes short beds are my favorite, my dad gave me the truck while I was in high school (1988).
