Need help on correct motor mounts
I'm just getting to the meet and potatoes on my '66 c-10. I'm got a LT4 and 4l60 trans. I've found plenty of LS mounts but not any LT mounts. What should I use?

Re: Need help on correct motor mounts
I believe the LT1/4 still use the Gen I small block engine mount configuration. In which case you can simply use the original engine mount along with the brackets for a '63-'66 truck. For the trans crossmember you can simply use a factory auto trans crossmember for a '63-'87 truck. You will have to drill the bolt holes for the correct location for the 4L60E.

Re: Need help on correct motor mounts
You mean like the 1996 LT4 Engine? Or the new LT4 from the Corvette?

Re: Need help on correct motor mounts
Sure would. However the Captainfab post above is true (as usual).
Just FYI if the cap'n answers your post-figure it's gospel, you'll do fine.

Re: Need help on correct motor mounts
I would buy the frame stands from CPP for their ls swap. The stands let you use 69 and newer motor mounts.
