Rim and tire help

I have a 72 c10 shortbed I'm wanting to put 20's on it with 8in on the front and 10s on the back.I've dropped it 4in in the front with drop spindles and springs and 5in in the rear. Needing help with the correct backspacing for the front and rear. Also need some tire sizes that work the best. I've researched alot on hear and seeing alot of different combos. I see people using 255/40 and 245/40 for the front and 295/40 for the rear. I'd like the side wall to look the same for the front and back, but fitment is more important. I just want to get it right the first time with no problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jared

Here's 22 pages, first thread to show up in "wheels" search of this forum.

There are LOTS of pictures showing specific fitments in the "Builds" pages as well.
I'm in a similar boat, trying to decide if I like the staggered look enough to give up on the utility of being able to rotate tires front to rear.

Re: Rim and tire help

This website can help you compare different wheel and tire sizes. If you know all the specs of your current wheel and tire, you can use them as a starting point to compare the bigger wheel and tire. With this site you can see the changes in height, width, fender clearance, suspension clearance... I think it's a neat tool.

Re: Rim and tire help

Nice Website. I'm thinking I like the Ridler 695 in chrome. I hope there a decent rim as far as quality goes
