76 hub cap question
I have read over and over that the hubcap years were pre-75, and the newer common version was 76-87 (pickup). I have seen several 76 3/4 ton and camper special trucks claiming they are original with these "early" version hubcaps. Any proof from owners on here that the early caps were available in 76? I appreciate any info!! Happy 4th everyone!!
Here is a pic of a "original" 76 camper special with the early caps.

Re: 76 hub cap question
I wonder if they used the old style caps until they ran out, so some early 76's had them. I think they did that with the engine displacement badge in the lower grille.

Re: 76 hub cap question
Thats a good point! I noticed that some 76's had the emblem and others didn't.

Re: 76 hub cap question
The painted base model hubcaps are listed as 73-78 in the parts book

Re: 76 hub cap question
Yep, bhc41051 is right on again. '78 was the last year of the older style painted cap used on base model pickups.
