Going to look at a 97 chevy suburban in morning, no leaks owner says that ac works and transmission is still under warranty. Says it runs strong. Will know tomorrow but what are some of the things I should look at and check out?
Known issues with this year? All advice is greatly appreciated. Oil Trans fluid Wipers Steering

Re: 1997 Chevy suburban issues
rear AC lines for leaking. Especially where they mount to rocker panel. Seam in middle of compressor is another. Look for wetness in all places. That's big money.
Intake gasket, look for wet trail coming from corner where head meets block and intake. You'll have to really get in there with a flashlight. The HVAC recirculation door actuator is the other budget killer. With key on but engine off and fan on low speed switch it back and forth every 30 seconds listening for any click noise. Windows up and doors closed will help to hear it. You have to remove complete dash to replace them (ugly)
