where to get emblem fasteners

the bow tie on the hood of my 69 is not held on very well. i would like to get some new fasteners. can anyone point me the direction of where to get some at (without the emblem). everything i see you have to buy the emblem in order to get fasteners. my local napa was no help.......

If you have the old ones tap lightly on the top with a hammer ,this will contract the hole and you can reuse them with more grip on the emblem stud , don't smash then .

I never knew that trick, but I have heard of filling in the back of the concave nut with body putty. Some body shop guys even refer to them as ''putty nuts''.

Looking at www.clipsandfasteners.com
-- they don't list any Standard or SAE nuts but they have metric. They're listed as "Metric Washer Lock Nuts" and "Washer Type Metric Self Threading Nuts."
Since it's not a precise fit to begin with, you might choose a near size in Metric [slightly smaller] and then ratchet it on carefully. Don't overtorque it.

If you would like new ones, they are in the Body section or aisle endcap at O'Reilly, part number 455750BP.
