My 70 chevy short bed project
Hello all I'm new to the site, just wanted to introduce myself I'm a retired Paramedic and I run a small mower service here in Mooresville N.C. I have a 1959 Chevy truck that was in the 1st Dale Earnhardt movie with a factory original 235 in line 6 that I purchased from my father in law and a recent purchase a 1970 Chevy short bed truck two tone green and white from the factory that was taken apart as a project but never completed, it came with a 283 bored 90 over, i just had the heads ground at Carolina Crank and is being assembled this week for the project that will continue through the next year or so as i have many other projects going that will keep me very busy including a 1976 Ford F-350 roll back that i will use to move projects and to pick up large mowers, a 1942 Dodge truck from Taylorsville N.C. that was a school maintenance truck, hope you don't mind me mentioning my other projects as they are not Chevy but just thought i would include them when telling you about myself as i love all old trucks, I will let you know how the 70 Chevy project is going and hope to learn much from you all, Thanks T.Pope

Re: My 70 chevy short bed project
hehe... yea? I just finished my weekend "touch-up a scratch on my bumper" that started seven or so odd years ago! Being as you love old trucks, I'm guessing more than a year, both from my experience, and the gut feeling I get from the words, thoughts, and inputs from the great members of this board, which I would say is, "The purpose of the journey is not to arrive!"
Welcome to the board!

Re: My 70 chevy short bed project
As soon as I figure this site out I will send some pics, I screwed up and posted my 59 sideways not sure how that happened, rebuilding a carb is easier than navigating this forum.

Re: My 70 chevy short bed project
Forum bug. You need to rotate them in a paint program or similar, as the forum software ignores the rotation information that your phone places in the file when taken sideways.
