1961 Tire to fender clearence...?

After some helpful posts from you guys we have decided to mini tub the 61 project. I already bought brand new wheel vintiiques 16x8 steelies and brand new tires, looks as if I jumped the gun.
Now I am thinking about jumping up to 18" or 20" wheels, possibly Mobsteel (Detroit steel) the plan for the rear is a 11" or 12" wide wheel and a 8" wide for the front.
My question for you guys is at what point will I run into issues clearing the front inner fenders?

Thanks

8 3/4 at bumper leaves about 3 inches tire to inner fender. There are lots of pictures on my build thread with measurements.

Depending on how low your ride height will be, I found that a 28.5" tall, or taller, front tire rubs the top of the inner fender on my truck at ride height.

Thanks guys!
Vin63, I am running 2-1/2 drop spindles and have cranked the bars down some, I do not think I am as low as you are and I am looking at a 27.72 tall tire, so it sounds like I should be ok!

Yep, my front tire is 27 inches tall in the photo, so that sounds about right...double check just in case.
