Couple blazer questions
1. Where is the build sheet located on a blazer. In my truck is was behind the bench seat. I can't find the one for my blazer (probably long gone) but just curious to where people have found theirs.
2. My driver side torsion box has a good chunk missing because of rust. I don't plan on doing any major rust repair anytime soon. However, I have heard that the body can shift quite a bit when the top is off and your panels are rusty. Has anyone removed the end cap of the torsion box and thru-bolted some additional steel / metal for support? |

Re: Couple blazer questions
Brian.......there's a thread somewhere here that someone posted dealing with the extra metal/bracing........I can't find it but perhaps someone that's familiar with it will chime in......the torsion boxes are crucial to body support when the top is removed.

73 views and only one comment. Come on guys. No one out there has tried to reinforce their torsion box or found the build sheet in their blazer?

Re: Couple blazer questions
saw this truss/brace in a previous post:... & there were some pieces of some kind of Id. sheet in the springs of the rear seat of either the Blazer or the Jimmy I had. Too deteriorated to tell what it had been.

Re: Couple blazer questions
Thanks for the picture. I don't think I will do anything that elaborate. I will most likely just bolt some new steel the the bottom of my rusty torsion box and call it good.
