Talking 73-87 birthday cake

Here is a cake my Mom made me years back. It is supposed to be a duplicate of my 73...which she calls her "grandtruck".

I think it is pretty cool and very thoughtful.

My parents and inlaws have a grandpuppy. They have come to accept that they will get nothing else.

Nice cake...

Awesome!

That reminds me of my 16th b-day cake...it had a pic of my 1974 CJ-5 on it. I'll have to dig it up and scan it in.

Thanks fo the pic Jeff

now that i think about it, one of my friends had one when he was a kid. was supposed to be a look alike for his dad's truck ('83 Chevy) rather than laying on its side, this one was standing up. had a raised portion for the cab. they also used Oreo cookies for the tires. apparently the cake had been out mud bogging before the party, because the real truck had chrome wheels.

Here you go. It's not shaped like a jeep but it's got one on it. And this isn't how mine actually looked. On my 16th b-day my jeep was actually in the middle of a frame off. But this is how I wanted it to look, minus the pink accents

EDIT: Now that I look closely at the picture, it was actually a CJ-7...but I didn't really expect the bakery to know the difference. And yes, when my mom asked me what kind of cake I wanted, I told her chocolate with a picture of my jeep on it!! LOL

i dont beleive thats a camper shell its just "background" like what you see thru the windows and also below the truck... w/o it there wouldnt have been much to eat. at least me thinks so
