Front leaf spring bushings

I just replace my front leaf spring/shackle bushings in my 72 K1500 with new Prothane poly bushings. The lower rear bushings seem to stick out on the inside, before I started I checked all the bushings and new steel sleeves and they were all identical. I don't think it's going to cause a problem but am curious if the lowers should have a wider shoulder on them? Do they all come this way? I thought about cutting the poly bushings and sleeve but that would make the shackles taper in. I drove around for about 20 miles and rechecked them and the leaf spring hasn't slid over. The gap between the shoulder and the spring is about 3/8", the uppers fit fine. The bolts are tight and the loud clunk I used to hear when I hit a bump is gone. The old bushings were so worn out the upper steel sleeve was hitting the hole in the frame and had worn the sleeve out almost all the way through. This was just after 3 or 4 years, I was surprised how fast they wore. I guess my old ones were just crap. Do I need to be concerned about the gap between the shoulder and spring?
