New front end on my 64

Hey folks I've got some questions. I have my spindles. They are listed as fitting trucks from 73-87. Now the front end parts. Ball joints, tie rods, rotors, etc. what year is the best to get for my set up. The truck is a 64 Chevy c10. Going with disc brakes on the fron only. Also any recommendations on the brake lines I need. All I find in my magazines just say manual brakes for my truck year. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Since you have '73-'87 spindles, you need the rest of the components for the same year range. I always recommend upgrading the entire steering linkage also. That way all of the steering and braking components are of the same year range or specific year. To upgrade the idler arm, you will have to position it correctly on the frame and drill the holes. You will want to keep the draglink parallel to both the bottom of the frame and the suspension crossmember.

So what the ball joints. I have my original control arms. So do I order my year or the spindle year for the ball joints.

Yes. The '73-'87 ball joints will fit your original control arms just like the original ball joints did.
