Re: Window stuck up
i did on my 72c10. I pulled off the inner door panel. and lubed everything. I dont think the window had been rolled down since the truck was new. I spray lubed it to loosen it all up them greased up everything with that pink Mobile 1 chassis grease. messy but it rolles up and down with finger pressure now.

Re: Window stuck up
It's usually not the regulator itself, but the track. The track gets dirt and crud in it, and the nylon wheels that ride in the track can wear out as well. Thorough cleaning and lube can help a lot. White lithium grease is good for that.
Sometimes the problem is with the window run channel felt. The backing can tear as it gets old, and the edge of the window may bind where it tears. If that's the case, the only thing to do is to replace the felt. The track being dirty can make that problem worse as well, because the glass will try to tilt as you roll the window up or down, causing more binding. |
