Seat options
Like to go with a split bench, something nice, for a 3100. Saw what was described as a "Tahoe 3rd row", looked nice.
What is popular? thx |

Re: Seat options
I used a 2006 Tahoe third row seat. It is in two pieces with built in three point belts and a center lap belt. The head rest is relatively low. I made a frame that allows me to use the tilt feature for access behind the seat and to remove the seats like the stock application. Here are some photos.
This is in a TF, AD is a little narrower, but I think it would fit find as there is room between the doors and and I left a gap in the middle for access to the drawer and area below the seat. Draw pulls out from under the driver. Stero is under the passenger side with a removable side panel too.

Re: Seat options
I have a mid 80's fullsize chevy bench in mine and it doesn't touch the doors. I think you should have plenty of options that you can make work.

Re: Seat options
I put in a late 80's chevy truck bench seat in mine. I wanted the 60/40 bench but found it was to long from side to side for my 56 cab. would've been nice though.

Re: Seat options
OrrieG- On the Tahoe seat, does it have any slide adjustment front to back or is in a fixed location? How is the width? I currently have an Astro van seat in my 57 and it is a little too narrow.
Thanks |

Re: Seat options
No adjustment stock seat is made to snap into brackets on the floor (see photo with brackets). I have a telescope column so I placed it as far back as I could and not bang on the back of the cab. I made the frame adjustable with pivot at back and threaded rod at the front so I can adjust it if the angle is not just right. If I remember correctly the top of frame is 5" off of the floor.

Re: Seat options
I also used 3rd row Tahoe seats. I used a universal seat bracket and slider from speedway. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Univer...unts,2432.html To gain that independent forward backward slide. You would lose a complete easy fold out seat. However you still gain sliding ability to fold the back of the seats forward.
