Will '73-'80 Frames fit on a '84?

Does anyone know how similar a 73-80 K20 frame is to that of a '84 K10?

I've always wanted to do a frame off resto on my K10 but want a clean rust free frame to start with. I came across aframe advertised as a 73-80. Will it be a direct bolt up to my K10?

Short answer is yes.

The front of the frame rails where the front bumper mounts will need to be modified to fit the 81-87 style front bumper.

Thanks for the added info. Just simply saying it needs to be modified leaves a lot to imagine. Trimming isn't hard at all, its adding material that takes real skill lol.

you don't have to add anything to the frame the 73-80 frame is round on the front an the 81-87 frame comes to a point

I believe that the obround hole in the frame rail is in the same place on both years, you could use that hole to line up the later bracket to mark for the cuts and the additional holes that are needed.
