72 K5 Blazer CST question

Is this glove box door and cluster surround correct? I thought the simulated wood should be on both of them if the door panels have the wood inserts?

Re: 72 K5 Blazer CST question

I asked the same question a couple years ago. What you have is correct the super had the woodgrain dash and glove box and was not offered on the blazer.

That's what mine looks like in my 71 CST. I don't think Blazer received the woodgrain

Re: 72 K5 Blazer CST question

The wood grain on the cluster does not look like an original GM piece. I would guess that the previous owner liked the look and added them to your truck. Does the vin number on the inside of the glove box match what is on your title?

Re: 72 K5 Blazer CST question

Probably right about the wood grain being swapped in, who knows what happened over the past 44 years. Unfortunately no sticker on the inside glove box door.

Re: 72 K5 Blazer CST question

The K5 has a tilt column but there is no mention of it on the SPID. Is the tilt column part of the CST package?

Re: 72 K5 Blazer CST question

CST K5s were not equipped with woodgrain cluster bezels or gb doors - woodgain panels on the interior are correct. Tilt column was added if not on the SPID and was not included in the CST package.

Thanks for the input. I guess I'm pleasantly shocked that the tilt column was added to the truck. Seems to me most of these trucks have been butchered up and had things removed that should be there. Finally a win!
