Installed height of 5" or 6" rear drop springs

Hi,

for my project i would like to know the installed height (vehicle resting on its wheels at ride height) of 5 or 6" drop springs.
Like the height of the spring itself with the weight of the vehicle resting on it.

I have like 6-7" of room for a spring and i can't find or get any info from the manufacturers.

Thanks,
Alex

You might need to start here first for Trucks normal stance or heights

Thank you for the copies. So i need to ask for the installed height of stock springs and tailgate height and subtract 5" from that?

I just thought the two copies would do you some good.

Re: Installed height of 5" or 6" rear drop springs

Yes, they do. In combination with stock springs AND a C10 to take measurements

I am in the process of installing a C10s trailing arm rear suspension into my 1985 Dodge shortbed pickup.
Building custom crossmembers for the trailing arms and springs and custom panhard bar and shock mounts and such.

All i have parts-wise is a set of trailing arms and stock springs.
The stock springs are those of a 3/4t and way too high.
I need something to compare and C10/20s are scarce over here in Germany.

Tire size would impact these measurements too. For example the overall diameter of an original stock size tire vs. a lowered truck with 5 or 6 " drop springs and 22" wheels.
