700r4 diagnosis

Tranny has started acting funny and I'm trying to figure out if there's something I can do, or if I should start saving to have it rebuilt.

Had it rebuilt back in 09/10, can't remember off the top of my head. I've probably put about 30K since then. When it went out the first time, I knew it. Would barely engage first then just stayed there.

This time, engages no problem, 1st revs a little high, slides into 2nd, revs a little, then a good shift into 3rd. I didn't do anything to it before this happened, but when I started, I did replace the fluid/filter and check to see that the TV was working properly. Seems like it was.

Any other suggestions?

Re: 700r4 diagnosis

I'd head over to the engine & drivetrain section and ask there. There's a member named Clinebarger who is an absolute pro with the 700r4. He will be able to answer your question and point you in the right direction.

That'll work. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
