long fleetside to short stepside frame chop?

I'm looking to cut my long fleet side frame to a short stepside. I heard it's 15" in front 5"in the back for stepsides not the typical 12" /8" cut. Any thoughts on this? Thanks

Re: long fleetside to short stepside frame chop?

The wheelbase is the same whether the truck has a fleetside bed or a stepside bed. So the 12"/8" would be correct.
