New fuel gauge = Neg Ground?
I think I burned out my original gas gauge running it on 12 volts (used to work, now it doesn't). I want to order a new 12-volt fuel gauge from Classic Parts, part #24-725B. Does anyone know these will work on a negative ground system?

Re: New fuel gauge = Neg Ground?
It should be designed for a negative ground from the get go.

Don't know for sure, but i believe it will be a negative ground, but, I'd call Classic Parts and ask directly, or find the manufacturer and call them.

Re: New fuel gauge = Neg Ground?
Well duh...
Ever wish you could delete a thread on here, lol? I called Classic Parts and was informed that all AD's of that era were negative ground - only GMC's were positive ground. A simple fact I was unaware of. So yeah, ALL their Chevy gauges are negative ground.

Re: New fuel gauge = Neg Ground?
I learned GMC were positive ground when I wired a radio I had hanging around into his GMC bus and watched start smoking.
