5 lug 16" wheels would be pretty rare I would think.

Good eye. I didn't pick up on that. I was impressed that the truck had a real specific selection of options like it was ordered by someone who knew what they wanted and what they didn't...and not at the fancy end. It's simple on trim, more comfortable seat, 4spd trans/leaf spring/16" wheels for a work horse 1/2t, and most interesting... tilt wheel yet no power steering. If it was customer ordered it was likely an older feller who was just fine with the way trucks had always been built, didn't need all that fancy new stuff, didn't want to spend a whole lot on too many options (I'm surprised no HD radiator). I'm also surprised such an order didn't include good mirrors.

Re: My latest edition 72 GMC

The 16 inch wheels may have come off a military spec truck.

Oh yeah, the 7.50 x 16 tires aren't on the SPID, either. Those could have been installed anytime, but I'm sure the truck came with a 4spd. The 16s fit in the rest of option choices.

Do the fender badges on this base trim GMC (Custom) have "V-Eight" on them? We have a thread on this going on

GMC front looks so much better than '68 Chevy
