We're the letter holes filled with bondo or were they welded shut?

Neither. It's a 67 GMC hood, hence no access holes underneath to install the nuts on the hood letters. The early GMC's had the GMC name molded into the center grille bars.

What are all those holes for on the second picture at the bottom? Looks like it could be a Chevrolet hood to me, I could be wrong, I've been wrong before!

Your eyes didn't play a trick, but mine did. I looked at it thinking he was showing a picture of the inside front lip where most of the issues with these hoods happen. My bad!

Re: 67 great condition rust free hood!!!

The hoods are and do look the same 67 & 68 from the underneath being Chevrolet or GMC. The stamping of the hood didn't change from GMC to Chevrolet for the under side goes. The lettering holes would still be there on both hoods Chevy & GMC's
Sense there is no sign of holes for the lettering this hood is a 67 GMC hood only, as stated from above the GMC lettering for 67 is on its Grill & 68 and above is on the hood.

Re: 67 great condition rust free hood!!!

I've had a few 67 GMC hoods. and none of them have had holes in the support for lettering
Thats a good price even if the holes on top were filled in .
