55 SWB project advice- have pics
OK, here is the 55 SWB no chassis truck I have found. It comes with the 55, fiberglass bed and the 59 doors, cab as parts truck. I need a chassis and I am thinking the 73-87 swap, already have a free donor.
I can get everything for less than $3K. From my research and condition of truck, not a bad start. Any thoughts. |

what is your goal? stock? lowered driver? airbags?
what motor? inline 6? V8? EFI? what is your skill level? replaced an alternator? replaced a motor? built a frame from scratch? what tools do you have? hand tools? 110 flux welder? 220 MIG welder and plasma cutter? what space do you have? driveway customs? two car attached half full of moving boxes? 30x40 pole shed with high bay lights? I would personally hit CL with a want ad for a stock frame and see if you get some hits, depending on your goals. lots of stock iron going to scrap, I have given two stocks frames away and thrown away two more.
