Mirror on my 67

I just got the driver side rear view mirror for my 67 cst lwb. The original holes were welded up so I need a measurement for the screw holes, or just the first screw hole. It is the older looking round mirror. Also is the measurement the same for the driver side and passenger side?

2 5/8" from front edge of the door and 1/2" down from the 2nd ridge down. Not the first ridge under the window, but the very next one down from that one. This is on the driver's side, I am not sure on the passenger's because my truck does not have the mirror mounting holes. I will look in the assembly manual and see if they have anything on the passenger's side.

Thanks fellers, I have been itching to get this installed but was afraid to drill in the wrong spot and have it look funny.
