Old Member Joining 88-98 crowd

Hey guys I am a old member from the 73-87 crowd, just picked up this '98 crew cab dually, I am sure I will have some questions with this newer version of the Chevy truck. I bought this truck because my girlfriend and I do a lot of camping, and there just was not enough room for us our 2 dogs in a single cab truck.

The new Dually

My '80 3/4 ton

Looks like you got a nice one. Welcome.... over! (I guess that's it)

I saved a picture of your '80 way back when. And IIRC, it was sitting at a campground. That truck has such a sharp color combo. Nothing dull about that brownish shade. It pops! Can't beat the Buckskin interior for an attractive interior.

But this is about your new one. what color interior, red?

Re: Old Member Joining 88-98 crowd

The new one is a 7.4 liter Vortec, automatic tranny, Silverado Package, gray interior, 137,000 on the odometer, I am the third owner. I runs and drives great, there are a few problems with the interior, dirty and a few of the plastic parts broken, but overall a very clean well maintained truck, I paid $8000 and think I got a really good deal for how nice of shape the truck is in, I whole lot better than the '80 was when I bought her. Her she is sitting in my driveway, not a big fan of the running boards but I can live with them, does make it easier for the girlfriend to get in and out.

Nice ride..... Keep a sharp eye on the matched tire pressures on those rear tires. If the inside/ outside are not the same pressure, one of the tires will over heat & blow!

( Get a valve kit that attaches to both tires for a single pressure)
