New turn signal switch and lever
My truck had no turn signal lever, and what I assumed was a broken switch as well. I ordered AC Delco D6202 and pulled the steering wheel.
First picture shows I did indeed have a broken switch. I managed to pull old wires out with connectors attached after pulling the two screws holding the 'cover' tight to the column. That only allowed me to rotate it and wiggle it around... But still a very tight fit. Trying to fish new connectors down without benefit of being able to pull the wires was too much, so I pulled the terminals out of the connecters. Was I missing something in this process? New switch in, but realized I'd not ordered a lever. Truck is not going to be held to any particular standard of factory originality, so I poked around the garage and decided that it was either welding a flat end on some aluminum round stock, or cutting the end off of a wrench and grinding it to fit. I'm better at grinding than I am at welding aluminum... So for now my signal lever is "forged in USA, 3/8". |

Re: New turn signal switch and lever
I think maybe a 7/8 wrench for a shifter ... I think you should keep the wrench turn signal lever..

Re: New turn signal switch and lever
Told my wife I spent $95 on the switch itself, she asked what the problem was with hand signals
