water pump fan
After putting a serpentine belt system(with air condition pulleys) on a my 350 engine I just installed in my C10,,,I found that the fan/water pump was blowing out instead of in toward the engine. We found a fan with the blades reversed. Now it blows in over the engine. The pump works fine, having drove it for three days and the temp never getting over 190. I'll watch and see how it goes.

Re: water pump fan
You should have a water pump for reverse rotation & a fan clutch for same if you are running a fan clutch.

Re: water pump fan
Ok,,,,so the fins in the water pump look to be straight not curved. Does it really matter which way the water flows as long as when the temp get to point as to open the thermostat. As I said,,,been driving for 3 days,,,no overheating,,,even let it set for about 20mins at idle.

Could you please post a picture of your serpentine belt system setup?

Re: water pump fan
There must be a reason that most serpentine systems use a reverse rotation pump. I would not trust it the way you have it and may strand you in very hot weather and traffic. If you need the short reverse pump I got mine for a 93 corvette at O'reillys

Re: water pump fan
I was given a standard rotation pump for a reverse rotation 4.3 vortec in an old s/10. The parts store gave me the wrong pump. It always ran above 210 in traffic and with the AC on. It took me about a month to figure out what was going on. Swapped to the right pump and it rarely ever made it all the way to 210. The autozone part number on the incorrect pump was indeed a standard rotation pump.
