Does this look like '72 suspension?

Posted this on the general 67-72 board, but did not get any opinions. Anyway, pulled my engine for a rebuild and started pressure washing the engine bay/suspension for a clean up & paint. The suspension, specifically the A arms sure don't look 44 years old to me, upper ball joints are still riveted in, so would think original. The rear end in the truck is from the mid to late eighties, so I'm wondering if the front has been replace also?? It's a C20, drivers side upper A arms have 3785 stamped on top, passenger side 3786.

Nope not a later model. The 73 and up stuff had the rubber control arm bushings.

The 73 and up C20 suspension still used the metal control arm bushings though.

Thanks for the info guys, just surprised the a arms look so good and the ball joints are apparently original. I guess there are still a few good things left about living in Cali, no rust!

It is possible that the ball joints are original. I just rebuilt the suspension and steering on a 72 crossmember. I bought brand new fully loaded a-arms from Napa and the ball joints are riveted.

Thanks 72cs20, I was wondering about that. Could be that at some point the upper A arms were changed out with ball joints included. Would explain the rivets and good shape the arms are in.
